The University of Tlemcen celebrated the Amazigh New Year 2975 on Saturday, January 11, 2025. The ceremony took place in the 19 May Room at the Imam Pole, where the university rector, Prof. Mourad Meghachou, delivered an opening speech emphasising the significance of the occasion. He highlighted that celebrating national holidays reflects national belonging and strengthens the unified Algerian identity.

 

The event was also marked by a lecture focused on the cultural and social aspects of the Amazigh New Year celebrations, showcasing the diversity and richness of Algerian culture.
